Adirondack Region - Craig Ormsby

Ormsby, a REALTOR for 12 years, is the broker/owner of Ormsby Realty in Plattsburgh, NY. He is a member and former two-term president of the Clinton County Board of REALTORS (CCBR). He was CCBR’s REALTOR of the Year in 2010, and has served on many of its committees including MLS, grievance and education.

At the state level, Ormsby has served on the NYSAR Board of Directors in addition to various committees including: housing opportunities; communications and public relations; and the seller’s disclosure working group.

Capital Region - Thomas McGroder


McGroder, a REALTOR for 7 years, is the broker/owner of Thomas J. Real Estate Inc. in Edinburg, NY, which he opened in 2008. He is a member of the Greater Capital Association of REALTORS (GCAR). He is a past president of the Fulton County Board of REALTORS, where he served as chair of the MLS Committee.

At the state level, McGroder serves on the NYSAR Board of Directors and has served on numerous committees including professional standards and MLS issues and policies.

Central Region - Mary Sunderman

Sunderman, a REALTOR for 20 years, is the broker/owner of Assist2Sell – Seller’s and Buyer’s 1st Choice in New Hartford, NY. She is an active member and past president of the Mohawk Valley Association of REALTORS (formerly Greater Utica-Rome Board of REALTORS), where she has served on numerous committees including education, legal and public relations. She is the association’s REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) chairperson for 2013. She also taught the fair housing course during the board’s new agent orientation. 

At the state level, Sunderman serves on the NYSAR Board of Directors along with several committees including professional standards, legislative steering and organizational planning. She is also a recent graduate of the NYSAR Leadership Academy.

She currently serves on the Federal Financing and Housing Policy Committee for the National Association of REALTORS.

Genesee Region - Carolyn Stiffler

Stiffler, a REALTOR for 24 years, is an associate broker at Keller Williams Realty in Rochester, NY. She is a member and former two-term president of the Greater Rochester Association of REALTORS (GRAR). She has served previously on the GRAR Board of Directors and several committees including professional standards and technology.

At the state level, in addition to the NYSAR Board of Directors, Stiffler has served on several committees including organizational standards, MLS issues and policies, and education management, as well as being an active participant in the technology forum. She is also a 2009 graduate of the NYSAR Leadership Academy.

Lower Hudson Region - Rick Reilly

Rielly, a REALTOR for 16 years, is an associate broker with Fraleigh & Rakow Realty, LLC in Rhinebeck, NY. He former two-term president of the Columbia Greene Board of REALTORS and was named the board’s 2006 REALTOR of the Year. 

On the state level, Rielly is a 2011 graduate of the NYSAR Leadership Academy. In addition to the NYSAR Board of Directors, he has served on or chaired numerous committees and working groups including: housing opportunities; communications and public relations; MLS issues and policies; and the legislative policy and local board education forums. Rielly was also a member of NYSAR’s REALTOR Honor Society from 2007-2011.

Rielly is also active on the national level, serving on committees including MLS issues and policies and state and local issues. He is currently a National Association of REALTORS (NAR) director, the Small Board Representative of the Local Leadership Idea Exchange Council, and was the 2012 vice chair of the Small Board Subforum. He has also served as a REALTOR mentor and has continued involvement with NAR-sponsored School of the Future Design Competition.

Metropolitan Region - Liz English

English, a REALTOR for 28 years, is an associate broker with Netter Real Estate Inc. in West Islip, NY. She was 2011 President of the Long Island Board of REALTORS and the board’s REALTOR Salesperson of the Year for 2007. She serves on numerous committees including public relations, budget and finance, education, legislative, fair housing and cultural diversity. In addition, she also serves on the Board of Governors for the Long Island Chapter Director of the Women’s Council of REALTORS. 


English is an active member of NYSAR, serving as director since 2004. She has also served on numerous committees including communications and public relations, organizational planning and professional standards. She is also an annual participant in NYSAR’s Lobby Day.

She has been a director for the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) since 2006 and has served on numerous NAR committees including public policy coordinating, diversity and research.

Southern Tier Region - Amy Wood Gonzalez


Wood Gonzalez, a REALTOR for 10 years, is a licensed associate broker with Warren Real Estate in Ithaca, NY. She is a past president of the Ithaca Board of REALTORS and is also a member of the Cortland Board of REALTORS. Wood Gonzalez is a former chair of the Grievance Committee and is currently serving as the local board mediator.

 
At the state level, Wood Gonzalez has served on numerous committees and forums including: MLS issues and policies; professional standards; resort and second-home; organizational planning; and nominating. She is the vice chair of the Professional Standards Committee for 2013. She was also the chair of the REALTOR of the Year selection committee in 2009 and graduated from the NYSAR Leadership Academy in 2012.

Western Tier - James Knight

Knight, licensed for 28 years and a REALTOR for 25, is an associate broker with RealtyUSA in Buffalo, NY. He is a member of the Buffalo-Niagara Association of REALTORS (BNAR) where he served as the association’s 2008 president, and has served on or chaired numerous committees including public affairs, bylaws and professional standards.  He is currently serving his second consecutive term as president of the Western New York Chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of REALTORS (NYSCAR), where he also sits on the board of directors. He is a certified appraisal instructor and sits on the Board of Governors of the New York State Society of Real Estate Appraisers (NYSSREA).

 
At the state level, Knight chaired the Organizational Standards Committee and has served on numerous committees and forums including issues mobilization and professional standards. He has served on the NYSAR Board of Directors.  

He served as a National Association of REALTORS (NAR) director in 2008.
