Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR)



Earn the most well-known designation for REALTORS who represent buyers.

Awarded to REALTORS who:

  • Complete the ABR required course.
  • Pass an elective course or hold the GRI, Green or SRES designation or e-PRO certification.
  • Act as a buyer's representative in at least five closed transactions during a three-year period.
  • Maintain Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC) membership ($110 annually).
  • And, complete the designation application (see REBAC.net).

    Designees may be easily located at REALTOR.com by consumers and at REALTOR.org for referrals. Earn the ABR and receive:

    Last year, foreign buyers invested more than $82 billion in residential real estate in the U.S., paid $100,000 more on average than the overall U.S. median price, and the majority paid all cash.     Military Relocation Professional (MRP)

    Serve those who serve our country.

    This certification course teaches you to how to help current and former military service members find housing solutions that best suit their needs and make best use of their available benefits.

    Resort & Second-Home Markets Course

    Many areas include prime second-home markets and, along with resort markets, these have weathered economic changes. This course gives you the knowledge and skills you need to specialize in; buying, selling, or managing second homes in a resort, recreational, and/or vacation destination; and properties for investment, development, or retirement. This course provides elective credit for the ABR and CIPS designations.

    Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) Certification
     
    Enhance your skills in pricing properties, creating CMAs, working with appraisers, and guiding clients through the anxieties and misperceptions they often have about home values with NAR’s Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) certification.  
     
    To earn the Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA) Certification:
  • Be a member in good standing of NAR.
  • Complete the Pricing Strategies course.
  • Complete two free webinars.
  • Submit a one-time application and fee of $179.

    Sellers Representative Specialist (SRS)

    This course provides the skills, training and resources you need to represent the interests of sellers in today's market. 


    By earning this designation, you'll:

    Increase your listings and grow your business.
    Demonstrate and communicate your value package to seller clients.
    Apply the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice in your dealings.
    Comply with state license laws when representing sellers.
    Provide the support and services sellers want and need.

    From effective prospecting, generational marketing, compensation policies, listing models and preparing for the presentation all the way through to closing, this course will provide a blueprint for a successful transaction. (Satisfies New York State two-hour agency coursework requirement.)

    Cost: $295 NYSAR Members/$320 Non-members
