Jim Braman, Esq.
Jim Braman has over 20 years experience practicing law counseling home builders, developers and lending institutions in commercial and residential real estate transactions and with a concentration in his practice on matters directly related to real estate licensees and associations. Jim has extensive experience in association law, having represented REALTORS at the state and local levels, counseling on business and not-for-profit organizational and governance matters, agency law, antitrust law, contract law, fair housing law and in developing legislation. Jim represents real estate license applicants and licensees in licensing matters including obtaining a real estate license that is proposed to be denied and representation before the Department of State in disciplinary proceedings, including hearings and appeals. Frances Carroll, has over 30 years experience as a Certified Real Estate Instructor, a New York State Association of REALTORS GRI Instructor, a Greater Syracuse Association of REALTORS Instructor, an author of many real estate courses, and has had extensive involvement in local, state and national associations of real estate. Her specialities include residential real estate, course development and delivery, training seminars, consultation services, professional residential services including listing seller client property, buyer client representation, referral services, consultation services for associations and individual companies. Don M. Cummis, III

Don M. CumminsIII is a graduate of the University at Stony Brook with a BA in Political Science and Human Development and graduated cum laude from the Benjamin N. Cardozo Yeshiva University School of Law where he was awarded the Alexander's Fellowship. Don clerked for a U.S. Attorney General and U.S. Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York. Don was inducted into the Order or the Coif, a national legal honors society. He then began working as an antitrust and complex commercial litigation attorney for a prestigious law firm in New York City.

Don opened his own practice 1999 servicing clientele in Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess counties and specializing in real property and broker/agency law as well as trust and estate law. In 2009, he was named Putnam County Man of the Year by the County Putnam County Association of REALTORS (PCAR). He teaches licensing and real estate courses for numerous educational institutions including BOCES, PCAR and NYSAR.

Linda D'Amico
Linda D'Amico started practicing real estate 21 years ago. She was a top producing sales agent, successfully managed 2 offices and was the Director of Education for a large NRT company on Long Island for many years. Currently, Linda holds NYS and North Carolina real estate broker’s licenses and is actively selling real estate. She owns Linda Damico Seminars a training and coaching business and is the trainer for a large, multi-office, independently owned company. Linda’s ability to teach “the meat and potatoe’s” of real estate and train from the position of what agents really need know to succeed, allow her to connect with the agents and management teams alike. Linda really does what she teaches. She understands the students needs. Students comment on her infectious passion for real estate, her humor in the class room and her “tell It like it is” philosophy. Linda is also on the faculty of trainers for the Long Island Board of REALTORS.

Alfred Fazio, Esq.

Alfred M. Fazio is a partner with the firm of Capuder Fazio Giacoia LLP with offices in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. For more than 25 years, Al has represented clients in all aspects of litigation and transactional work arising from his extensive real estate practice. In the area of transactional real estate, Al represents buyers and sellers in the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements, development and construction agreements, real estate brokerage agreements and other documents relating to real property acquisition, ownership, leasing and disposition. Al has extensive experience in real estate and commercial litigation encompassing a broad range of issues including the prosecution and defense of brokerage commission cases, state licensing violations as well as the defense of real estate brokers in fair housing litigation. He is general counsel for several real estate organizations including the Brooklyn Board of REALTORS and the Manhattan Association of REALTORS. Al is also an Adjunct Lecturer with New York University and a GRI instructor with the New York State Association of REALTORS and has been appointed as an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association where he is assigned cases involving real estate brokerage commission disputes and other commercial matters.

Roseann Farrow,
With over 30 years in real estate, sales, training, management and consulting, Roseann Farrow is well known by brokers and agents for her energy, sense of humor and dedication to the industry. A master instructor for NYSAR, a national REBAC instructor and 2008 president of the NYS GRI Chapter, she devotes full time efforts to independent training, coaching and consulting as Roseann Farrow Seminars. Currently she sits on Board of Directors for NYSAR and the Real Estate Educators Association. OCAR named her the 2005 REALTOR of the Year for her continued contributions to her industry and community. Originally from Long Island, she resides at Orange Lake.

Nick Gigante
Nick Gigante, GRI, ITI, has loved working in real estate for the past 30 years. For half of that time he has also taught thousands of REALTORS across New York State subjects such as agency, buyer brokerage, risk reduction, fair housing and ethics. Jim Pugliese
Jim Pugliese, ABR, CRB, GRI, SRES, SFR, ITI, is Vice-President of Prudential Manor Homes Real Estate in the Capital Region and lives in Clifton Park, NY. He has been in real estate for 31 years as a top producer, branch manager, recruiter and trainer.

Jim is totally committed to real estate education. He is a senior faculty member for NYSAR’s REALTOR Institute having taught thousands of NYSAR members since 1988 and is consistently rated as one of the best. In addition, Jim is an Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) instructor and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES) instructor. 

On the national level, Jim served as director and 2000 Chair of the Education Committee for NAR. He’s presented seminars at 15 NAR conventions and each year was rated as one of the top three speakers. Jim was also rated one of the top speakers each year he spoke at the Triple Play Convention and Trade Expo for NJ/NY/PA REALTORS.

Russ Romano
Russ Romano is an educator, author and motivator. He is a Senior Faculty Member for Graduate REALTOR Institute courses offered by NYSAR. He has been teaching real estate agents the finer points of listing and selling for more than 30 years. Russ was a nationally recognized “Senior Trainer” for an international real estate franchise organization and traveled extensively throughout the U.S. presenting seminars and workshops. Russ has written and presented several continuing education courses  for the National Association of REALTORS, Greater Rochester and Greater Buffalo Association of REALTORS. He continues to present “tailor made” sales and sales management seminars for companies large and small.

Don Scanlon
Don Scanlon graduated from The University of Dayton in 1969 with a degree in education, and started in the real estate business in 1984 as a part-time salesperson. By 1986 he received his broker’s license and in 1987 Scanlon became the broker/owner of Your Home Realty/Century 21 Your Home in Wantagh. The company merged with Century 21 American Homes, where Don remains one of the broker/owners. Scanlon is a New York State Certified Instructor for real estate licensing and continuing education.

Randy Templeman,

Randy Templeman began his real estate career in Austin, TX, in 1981, where he was named REALTOR-Salesperson of the Year in 1989. Since then, Randy has moved back to the Binghamton, NY, area where he specializes in residential and investment property real estate transactions. Always in demand for his expertise in real estate financing, marketing and technology services, Randy teaches GRI, ABR, RSPS and WCR courses as well as contributes two bi-weekly columns to the “Catalog of Homes” titled “Ask Randy” and “Test Your Real Estate IQ.” Randy has been featured at the REALTORS Triple Play convention in Atlantic City, NJ, and he teaches at the Broome Community College – Center for Community Education in Binghamton. We are fortunate to have Randy instruct for NYSAR, as his expertise and personal field experiences enhance and flavor of every class he teaches. Sharon Tucker

After serving as Chief Financial Officer for 15 years in the private sector, Sharon Tucker entered the real estate field where she now is the principal broker of her own firm in Rockland County. She has written and taught a variety of courses, including qualifying courses for both salespersons and brokers. Sharon was 2003 President of the Rockland County Board of REALTORS (RCBR) where she continues to be an active member serving on a variety of committees. In 2006, she was awarded RCBR’s REALTOR of the Year and was a member of NYSAR’s Honor Society from 2004-2009. She is currently a NYSAR Director and Education Chairperson for her local board.

Joseph M. Whittington

Joseph M. Whittington, 1999 President of the New York State Association of REALTORS, is a licensed Real Estate Broker, a New York State Certified Real Estate Appraiser, a New York State Certified Instructor in the fields of Real Estate Appraisal, New Construction, Environmental Hazards and Real Estate Finance. He is a faculty member of both the New York State Association of REALTORS and the Buffalo Niagara Association of REALTORS, He has authored a handbook for the Buffalo Niagara Association entitled "Environmental Hazards in Real Estate." He is a certified Environmental Consultant, and has over 20 years experience in these related fields. He is a contributory columnist to the Buffalo News, and has authored hundreds of articles for publication in trade journals and newspapers. In addition, Joe has written over 15 courses which are utilized for education purposes in Real Estate and related disciplines. Joe conducts approximately 300 Real Estate Appraisals per year and is FHA approved. Further, he conducts over 200 home inspections per year including, but not limited to, structural inspections, radon tests, lead and asbestos assessments.
