Freddie Mac: 30-year mortgage rates remain unchanged in weekly survey for Northeast

In its Primary Mortgage Market Survey for the week ending August 15, 2013, Freddie Mac reported that the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) for the Northeast remained the same, averaging 4.42 percent with an average 0.7 point.

The 15-year FRM for the Northeast increased slightly, averaging 3.46 percent with an average 0.7 point, up from 3.44 percent the week prior. 

Nationally, the 30-year FRM averaged 4.4 percent, unchanged from the previous week, while the 15-year FRM rose from 3.43 percent to 3.44 percent.

Home sales near record high in November

There were 10,719 closed home sales across New York State during November, representing the second-highest total on record for the month. The November sales record of 10,991 was set in November 2016.
