Freddie Mac: Mortgage rates move lower in weekly survey

In its Primary Mortgage Market Survey for the week ending September 19, 2013, Freddie Mac reported that the 30-year fixed-rate mortgage (FRM) for the Northeast fell slightly from 4.56 percent to an average 4.52 percent with an average 0.8 point.

The 15-year FRM also decreased, averaging 3.58 percent with an average 0.7 point, down from 3.6 percent the week prior.

Nationally, the 30-year FRM averaged 4.5 percent, down from 4.57 percent the previous week, while the 15-year FRM dropped from 3.59 percent to 3.54 percent.
