SRI: Home buying plans down for New York State in October

According to the latest poll by the Siena Research Institute (SRI), New York State consumer home buying plans were down 0.6 points to 5.1 percent in October. Overall, New York State consumer confidence fell 6.6 points, while the nation’s confidence decreased 4.3 points. At 69.6, New York’s overall consumer confidence is 3.6 points below the nation’s confidence level of 73.2.

Buying plans were also down for consumer electronics, furniture and major home improvements. Buying plans remained unchanged for cars/trucks.

New York statewide home sales remain strong in February
