Builder confidence unchanged nationally in November, gains one point in Northeast

Builder confidence in the market for newly-built, single-family homes was unchanged in November from a downwardly-revised level of 54 the previous month, according to the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI).

The HMI recorded a one-point gain to 39 in the Northeast.

Empire State housing market stays hot in January

New York State home sales remained strong to start the new year with 8,698 closed sales, falling just shy of the 2017 record for January, according to the annual housing market report released by the New York State Association of REALTORS.
