U.S. Commerce Department: New home sales up for Northeast in October

Sales of new single-family homes in the Northeast in October were up 19.2 percent to a seasonally adjusted rate of 31,000, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. September’s revised annual rate was 26,000. 

Nationally, new home sales were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 444,000 for October. This is 25.4 percent above the revised September rate of 354,000, and is 21.6 percent above the October 2012 total of 365,000.
