Mortgage applications increase in weekly survey

In its Weekly Mortgage Applications Update for the week ending June 5, 2015, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) reported that the volume of mortgage loan applications increased 8.4 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. On an unadjusted basis, the index rose 19 percent compared with the previous week.
 
Both the Refinance Index and the Purchase Index increased from the previous week as well, rising 7 percent and 10 percent respectively.
