Builder confidence rises slightly nationally, holds steady for Northeast

Builder confidence in the market for newly-built, single-family homes in August rose one point to a level of 61 on the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index (HMI). This is the highest reading since November 2005.
The Northeast scores held steady at 46 in August.

Empire State housing market stays hot in January

New York State home sales remained strong to start the new year with 8,698 closed sales, falling just shy of the 2017 record for January, according to the annual housing market report released by the New York State Association of REALTORS.
