MBA reports mortgage applications dip in weekly survey

In its Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending September 4, 2015, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) reported that the volume of mortgage loan applications has decreased 6.2 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. On an unadjusted basis, the index fell 7 percent compared with the previous week.
 
Both the Refinance Index and the Purchase Index also fell in the weekly survey, decreasing 10 percent and 1 percent respectively.
