Mortgage loan applications rise almost 14 percent in weekly survey

In its Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending Sept. 18, 2015, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) reported that the volume of mortgage loan applications rose 13.9 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. On an unadjusted basis, the index rose 26 percent compared with the previous week. 
Both the Refinance Index and the Purchase Index also increased, rising 18 percent and 9 percent respectively.

New York statewide home sales remain strong in February
