Oct 05, 2015

The 2015 NYSAR Fall Business Meetings kicked off Sunday at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona. During yesterday’s General Session, NYSAR President Mike Smith provided a recap of NYSAR's activities on behalf of its members during the year.

Additionally, Bob Bemis, RPR vice president for business development, gave a broad-based presentation of the many issues facing REALTOR boards and MLSs today, along with his personal views on what options are open to REALTORS when planning to deal with those issues. The 2015 GRI graduates were recognized and the 2015 REALTOR of the Year award was presented to Martin Carpenter of Baldwinsville, NY. He is the 58th recipient of the REALTOR of the Year award, which recognizes outstanding service to the REALTOR organization at the local, state and national levels, a strict adherence to the high principles of the National Association of REALTORS Code of Ethics, a commitment to civic activity and business accomplishments.

The RPAC Trivia Night fundraiser was also held last night, which featured a regional trivia competition hosted by DJ Trivia, and live and silent auctions to raise money for RPAC.
