Safewise finds Lewisboro, NY safest city in US

May 05, 2016
Lewisboro, NY has been declared the safest city in America by Safewise.com, a safety and security website. The website analyzed FBI crime statistics and combined it with additional research covering public safety, public health and educational offerings to create it's "100 Safest Cities in America" report.

Located 50 miles north of New York City, Lewisboro was one of only three cities on the list that reported no violent crimes and had the only city to "have less than 1.0 property crimes per 1,000," according to the study.

Other New York cities in the top 100 included Floral Park, Rye, Glen Cove, Harrison, Shawangunk, North Castle, Yorktown and Suffern.
