HAMP to be replaced with ‘Flex Modification’

Mortgage financing giants Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae announced a new foreclosure prevention program that will roll out next year to replace the Home Affordable Mortgage Program (HAMP), which expires at the end of this month. The new program, called “Flex Modification,” will reportedly provide a 20-percent reduction in mortgage payments for eligible borrowers. The program will be implemented by Oct. 1, 2017. Home sales near record high in November

There were 10,719 closed home sales across New York State during November, representing the second-highest total on record for the month. The November sales record of 10,991 was set in November 2016. The statewide median sales price grew by 5.8 percent in November compared to last November. Click here to read more.
