Scholarship Program

Through its scholarship program, the foundation strives to raise the level of knowledge, professionalism and client service among those in the real estate profession.

Eligibility of Licensees

Any individual who has at least one year experience in real estate sales and who holds a real estate license in New York is eligible for one of the designation program scholarships. These include Accredited Buyer Representative, Certified International Property Specialist, Green, Resort and Second-home Property Specialist, Graduate REALTOR Institute and Seniors Real Estate Specialist designation course scholarships. Applicants must hold primary REALTOR membership in New York State, show positive motivation toward real estate education and prove their interest in furthering their career in real estate.

Eligibility of Others

Any REALTOR member who is eligible to teach real estate continuing education programs and is recommended by their local board of REALTORS may apply for the Instructor Training Institute scholarship, which covers half of the tuition.

Important Dates and Requirements

Scholarships are awarded twice a year; in March and in October.  Applications for October awards are due by July 31 and applications for March awards are due by December 31.  Individuals are eligible to receive only one scholarship per year.  Each application must be supported by two letters of recommendation and must include a letter from the applicant describing their need, how the scholarship will benefit them and their future goals relating to the use of the scholarship.
