The New York State Association of REALTORS’ 2017 Fall Business Meetings will be held Sunday, September 24 through Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at the Turning Stone Resort & Casino, Verona, NY.

Two ways to register!

1. Login to https://nysarportal.ramcoams.net. Your username is 9-digit NRDS number and your password is your last name. Please be aware that it is case sensitive. From the "Events" dropdown menu, select "Upcoming Meetings" and then follow the instructions on the page to continue.
 
2. Fax this registration form as per the provided instructions. 

Please note: You must make any required payments at the time of registration for your registration to be processed.

On-site Registration

Please visit NYSAR's on-site registration desk located in the Cypress Hallway to check in and receive your name badge and final agenda. Attendees who purchased tickets to the RPAC Karaoke Night fundraiser will receive them upon check-in.

• Friday - Saturday: $184 plus tax (single/double)
• Sunday - Wednesday: $149 plus tax (single/double)

*Saturday is sold out for the Tower and the Lodge. Rooms are still available in the Hotel/Casino on Saturday. Act quickly, the room block deadline is Friday, August 25. 
 

Events that Require Additional Registration:

Ombudsman Training: An additional $10 fee applies. To attend this session, you are required to pre-register by September 15

Legal Update: Open to all, but pre-registration is required by September 15 to ensure available seating. 1.5 hours of CE credit.

RPAC Karaoke Night: Tickets are $60 each and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here for a flyer with more information. 

Distinguishing Style and Size to Value CE session: To attend this appraiser course, you are required to pre-register and an additional $50 fee applies. Three hours appraiser and real estate CE pending.

Safety Matters CE session: All are welcome to attend, but pre-registration is required by September 15.

Instructor Development Program: To attend this session, pre-registration is required by September 15. A $25 fee applies.

Ombudsman Training
Saturday, 2-5 p.m.
Many ethics complaints are misunderstandings. This session will assist individuals who currently serve as an ombudsman as well as those looking for guidance and/or additional ombudsman training. REALTOR association ombudsman receive and resolve disputes through constructive communication and advocating for consensus and understanding. Often ethics hearings might be averted with enhanced communications and initial problem-solving capacity at the local level. Join instructor Linda J. Page, former chair of the NAR Professional Standards Committee and Professional Standards Interpretations and Procedures Advisory Board, for this informative training session. Pre-registration and additional $10 fee required. 

Local Board/Association Forum
Sunday, 2-3:30 p.m.
All attendees are encouraged to attend this interactive session to discuss industry issues and trends. Speaker details will follow.

Legal Update: Current Legal Snares
Sunday, 4-5:30 p.m.
This free, 1.5 hour CE session will provide the latest information for New York licensed brokers, managers and agents. NYSAR's General Counsel Anthony Gatto, Esq. will cover a wide array of legal issues critical to reducing risk in your real estate practice. Topics include: fair housing; independent contractors; personal assistants; agency; and much more. Don't miss it! Pre-registration is required to receive CE credit and ensure adequate seating. First-come, first-served.
 
GRI Graduation
Sunday, 5:30-6 p.m.
Join NYSAR’s leadership team, GRI designees, faculty and staff as NYSAR’s most recent graduates of the REALTOR Institute are recognized. Come and congratulate our most recent GRI grads! (Open to all.) 
 
President’s Reception
Sunday, 6-7 p.m.
All attendees are welcome to attend the opening night’s President’s Reception for networking, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Fair Housing & Cultural Diversity Committee
Monday, 10-11:30 a.m.
Join Ginger Downs, CEO of the Chicago Association of REALTORS, as she shares details of their strategic partnerships with other fair housing and diversity groups and organizations in the Chicago area.

Safety Matters CE session
(1 hour of real estate CE)
Monday, 11 a.m.-Noon
The marketing of real estate property creates risks that people in most other fields don’t face. This one-hour session will provide an overview of policies and procedures you can implement in your business to protect you and your clients. From showing property to working in the office, driving to appointments, and parking your car, you’ll learn valuable precautions that could save your life! There is no charge to attend this important session but pre-registration is required to assure adequate seating.
 
General Session
Monday, 2-3:30 p.m.
This must-attend session will include President Dawn Carpenter's State of the Association address, the announcement of the 2017 REALTOR of the Year and more. 
 
RPAC Karaoke Night
Monday, 7:15-11 p.m.
Join your fellow REALTORS for a fun, competitive and exciting night of karaoke, costumes and auctions, all in support of RPAC! Tickets cost $60 each and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Please see the event flyer for full details.

Distinguishing Style and Size to Value
(3 hours appraiser and real estate CE pending)
Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Do you know how to accurately measure and advertise the square footage of the house you are appraising, selling or renting? Learn what “living area” really is per the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). This course will walk appraisers through USPAP standards 1 and 2. Salespeople will also fulfill their 1 hour agency requirement. Submitted for appraiser and real estate CE. Pre-registration and $50 fee applies.

Local Board/Association Presidents' Luncheon
Tuesday, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Local board/association presidents are invited to join host Dawn Carpenter, NYSAR 2017 president, for lunch and networking.

Instructor Development Program - Video Bootcamp
Tuesday, 1:30-3 p.m.
Do you want to use video but aren’t sure how to get started? Or what to do with it after you’ve created a video? In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to record, edit, do voice-overs, add music and then post your video in a variety of places to maximize exposure. And, you’ll see what programs and apps are needed to accomplish all of this. Plus, you’ll discover diverse ways to use video to enhance your presentations and promote your courses or services. Designed with instructors in mind, this session is sure to benefit all members interested in engaging a broader audience and widening their spheres. Pre-registration and $25 fee applies.
 
Regional Caucuses
Tuesday, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
All attendees are encouraged to participate in their regional caucus, facilitated by the Regional Vice President (RVP), to share details about the committee meetings attended that week in preparation for Wednesday’s Board of Directors Meeting.
 
NYSAR New Board of Director Training
Tuesday, 5-6 p.m.
If you are a new NYSAR director,please plan to attend this mandatory training session.
