NYSAR honors Rhinebeck REALTOR Rick Rielly as REALTOR of the Year

Albany – October 6, 2014 – The New York State Association of REALTORS honored Rick Rielly, ABR, Green, GRI, SFR, SRES of Rhinebeck, NY as its 2014 REALTOR of the Year during the association’s Fall Business Meetings in Verona, NY.

He is the 57th recipient of the REALTOR of the Year award, which recognizes outstanding service to the REALTOR organization at the local, state and national levels, a strict adherence to the high principles of the National Association of REALTORS Code of Ethics, a commitment to civic activity and business accomplishments. 

“Rick Rielly exemplifies the high standards that all New York State REALTORS aspire to when serving their association, volunteering in their communities and conducting business,” said JP Endres, 2014 president of the New York State Association of REALTORS. “In naming Rick our REALTOR of the year, we honor his dedication to his community and his association.”

A REALTOR for nearly 20 years, Rielly is an associate broker with Fraleigh & Rakow Realty, LLC in Rhinebeck, NY.  

Rielly is a former three-term president of the Columbia Greene Board of REALTORS®, where he also served on and chaired numerous committees including fair housing, nominating and professional standards.  He was named the board’s 2006 REALTOR® of the Year. He is also a member of the Dutchess County Association of REALTORS. 

On the state level, Rielly serves as the Lower Hudson regional vice president. He is a 2011 graduate of the NYSAR Leadership Academy. In addition to the NYSAR Board of Directors, he has served on or chaired numerous committees and working groups including: housing opportunities; communications and public relations; MLS issues and policies; and the legislative policy and local board education forums. Rielly was also a member of NYSAR’s REALTORHonor Society from 2007-2013.

Rielly is active on the national level, serving on committees including MLS issues and policies, and state and local issues. He has previously served as a National Association of REALTORS director, was the Small Board Representative of the Local Leadership Idea Exchange Council, and was the 2012 vice chair of the Small Board Subforum. He has also served as a REALTORmentor and national judge in his involvement with NAR-sponsored School of the Future Design Competition for middle school students.

Active in his community, Rielly is in his 14th year serving as the Bulkeley Middle School Scholastic Quiz Bowl advisor.

In acknowledgement of his outstanding achievements, Rielly will be honored at the REALTORRecognition Program during the 2014 REALTORS Conference and Expo in New Orleans, LA in November.

Empire State housing market stays hot in January

New York State home sales remained strong to start the new year with 8,698 closed sales, falling just shy of the 2017 record for January, according to the annual housing market report released by the New York State Association of REALTORS.
