NY First Home bill passes NYS Legislature

On Monday, June 19, the NY First Home Proposal (A.5616-B/S.4058-B) passed in both the New York State Senate and Assembly.  The bill will next be delivered to the governor for his approval at an undetermined time.  The NY First Home Program would allow individuals and couples to put aside money in a special savings account to be used for the upfront costs associated with purchasing a first home in New York State.  Click herefor more details on the program.

New York State home sales fall short of record 3Q high

There were 38,445 homes sold across New York State during the 2017 third quarter, a 3.1-percent decline from the 2016 third quarter’s record total. The 2017 third quarter sales total is the second best on record for the period. The median sales price growth trend continued in the third quarter, posting a 5-percent increase to $261,500. Click here to read more.
