Master Real Estate Instructor (MREI)
The MREI is a NYSAR specific designation (no CE) that allows instructors to showcase their expertise in the areas of instruction and curriculum development.
Initial Designation MREI*
*No application fee required for Initial Designation.
Must have completed ITI and CDW training 2017 or later
Must be NYS Approved for real estate instruction.
Must have 90 hours of paid real estate instruction within the last 3 years.

ITI (Instructor Training Institute)
Includes the Following Requirements:
- Full Day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Three Day Course
- Final Presentations on a Separate Day
- Two Hour Required Pre-Class Webinar
- Post-Class Individual Mentoring
- Follow-Up Webinar
CDW (Course Development Workshop)
- Full Day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Two Day Course
- Two Hour Required Pre-Class Webinar
MREI Recertification (every 3 years):
Must have completed at least 3 NYSAR offered instructor development workshops over the last three years.
Must have completed the recertification 1/2 day course at least once in the last three years.
Must have at least 90 hours of paid real estate instruction within the last 3 years.
Must be NYS approved for real estate instruction.
Must pay $125 for recertification.
