Mortgage applications fall slightly according to weekly survey

In its Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending July 12, 2013, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) reported that the volume of mortgage applications fell 2.6 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. On an unadjusted basis, the index increased 22 percent compared with the previous week. 

The Refinance Index fell 4 percent from the previous week, while the Purchase Index increased 1 percent from one week earlier.

Empire State home sales stay at elevated level during April
