Mortgage applications decline in weekly survey

In its Weekly Mortgage Applications Survey for the week ending July 26, 2013, the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) reported that the volume of mortgage applications fell 3.7 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis from one week earlier. On an unadjusted basis, the index decreased 4 percent compare with the previous week. 

Both the Refinance Index and the Purchase Index also decreased, dropping 4 percent and 3 percent respectively.
