SRI: Home buying plans in New York State up in September

According to the latest poll by the Siena Research Institute (SRI), New York State consumer home buying plans were up 1.9 points to 5.7 percent in September. Overall, New York State consumer confidence increased 2.9 points, while the nation’s confidence decreased 4.6 points. At 76.2, New York’s overall consumer confidence is 1.3 points below the nation’s confidence level of 77.5.

Buying plans were also up for consumer electronics, furniture and major home improvements. Buying plans remained unchanged for cars/trucks.

Empire State home sales stay at elevated level during April
