Senate passes NYSAR’s NY First Home bill

The NYSAR-supported NY First Home bill passed 61-0 in the New York State Senate on June 14. The bill would create a first-time homebuyer savings account, similar to New York's 529 Education Savings Program, that would help first-time buyers save for the down payment and closing costs. Empire State home sales stay at elevated level during April
