Rochester REALTOR Andrew Burke appointed as NYSAR Genesee Region vice president

Albany, NY – Feb. 10, 2016 – Andrew Burke, CBR, GRI, SRES, of Honeoye Falls took the oath of office Monday, Feb. 8, as the 2016 Genesee Region vice president of the New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) during the association’s inauguration ceremony held in conjunction with its business meetings at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany, NY.
 
Burke, a REALTOR® for 14 years, is an associate broker at RE/MAX Realty Group in Pittsford, NY. 
 
Burke is the immediate past president for the Greater Rochester Association of REALTORS® (GRAR) and currently serves on its Board of Directors, the Strategic Planning Committee and Executive Committee. He has previously served on numerous other committees including professional development, nominating and industry advocacy. From 2011-2012, he chaired the Genesee Region Information Service (GENRIS). He was named GRAR’s REALTOR® of the Year in 2008 and the Rookie of the Year in 2002.
 
At the state level, Burke has chaired the Multiple Listing Issues and Policies Committee and is currently a member of the executive, organizational planning, professional standards and professional standards steering committees. 
 
On the national level, Burke has previously served for two years on the National Association of REALTORS®’ Board of Directors and on the Land Use Committee.
 
Active in his community, he is a past chairman of the Community Place of Greater Rochester, Inc., Linden Knoll Inc., and the Rochester Civic Garden Center.  Burke has also served on the American Lung Association of New York and Northeast Board of Directors, and is a member of the Rotary International Rochester AM Chapter.
 
Burke, a former marketing executive with Fortune 100 corporations, holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Empire State home sales stay at elevated level during April
