Syracuse REALTOR Donald Radke appointed as NYSAR Central Region vice president

Albany, NY – Feb. 10, 2016 – Donald Radke, GRI, of Syracuse took the oath of office Monday, Feb. 8, as the 2016 Central Region vice president of the New York State Association of REALTORS® (NYSAR) during the association’s inauguration ceremony held in conjunction with its business meetings at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany, NY.
Radke, a REALTOR® for 39 years, is a broker/owner of FM Realty Group in Fayetteville, NY.
Radke is an active member and past president of the Greater Syracuse Association of REALTORS®, where he has chaired the Legislative Committee and served on multiple others including the Education Committee, Finance Committee, and the Marketing Task Force. He is a past president of the Central New York Information Service, Inc., where he currently serves as vice president, and serves on the Board of Managers for the New York State Alliance of MLSs. Radke is also a New York State certified real estate instructor.
At the state level, Radke is a member of the NYSAR Board of Directors and has served on several committees including professional standards, multiple listing issues and policies and housing opportunities. 
On the national level, Radke has previously served on the National Association of REALTORS®’ Board of Directors. 
Active in his community, Radke is the Chairman of the City of Syracuse Landmark Preservation Board and serves on the city’s new land use plan task force. He is also the president of Focus Greater Syracuse, a citizen engagement organization, and the president of the GR Barnes Foundation.

NYS home sales post second-highest May total

Homebuyer activity remained strong in May, driving the New York State housing market to the second-highest sales total for the month with 10,348 closings. May 2018 closed sales were 8.6 percent lower than the record of 11,322 set in May 2017. The median sales price growth trend continued, increasing by 11.5 percent compared to last May, ending the month at $262,000. Click here to read more.
