U.S. Commerce Department: New home sales fall in March for Northeast
Sales of new single-family homes in the Northeast in March fell 54.8 percent to 19,000, according to the U.S. Commerce Department. February’s revised rate was 42,000.
Nationally, new home sales were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 694,000, 4 percent above the revised February rate of 667,000. This is 9.8 percent above the March 2017 estimate of 638,000.
